The fast-paced, high energy track has the flavor of the language of Uttar Pradesh Dhol plays an integral part of the composition and it is very much on the lines of songs like the iconic “Khaika baan banaras wala” of Don. That’s Imran Khan, playing the sweet-tempered benign do-gooder once again. Although the song seems to be interesting in the beginning, it fails in sustaining the interest of the listener and falls flat. Yup, Zafar gets it pitch-perfect all the way. But the situational humour doesn’t quite have the delightfully disarming naturalness of Band Baaja Baraat.

It has a slow start but it later picks up pace. Impressive unconventional love story! Fun, as it turns out, leading to falling in love sajta her brother-in-law-to-be. Impressively crooned by Neha Bhasin, it is quite like fusion. But the characters exude a contagious warmth, more in their individual capacity than in combinations.
It is basically a track explaining the kind of girl the protagonist wants for his brother. Friday, March 22, Kesari Review: Saturday, September 10, Parikshat Sahnni and Kanwaljeet as the couple’s fathers try to be coic and filmy.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan
The music album brings forward composer Sohail Sen in a very different space. By the time the Brother walks away with the Dulhan we really have nothing we would like to say to them, except, what took them so long?
The film is an adaption The moderately paced love song grows on the listener and is quite like a contemporary qawaali owing to new age lyrics. While retaining the original flavour of the plot, composer Chirantan Bhatt has given it a contemporary twist Yup, Zafar gets it pitch-perfect all the way. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
This version has been crooned by Neha Bhasin, Sreeramachandra and Joshilay themselves. Next is “Choomantar” that starts with a kids’s voice. Due to the nature of its sound and lyrics, it might get more importance in small towns.
This genre is the singer’s forte, so he delivers his best. Khan stays in his comfort zone while Katrina comes out of it to give herself and the audience the time of her life. Although the song seems to be interesting in the beginning, it fails in sustaining the interest of the listener and falls flat.
Friday, November 11, Review: What really redeems the film’s blind spots is Katrina Kaif who brings a very spcial transparency and dazzle to her role of a wild child who wants to have all the fun that she can before she settles into a comfortably arranged marriage with the rakish NRI Ali Zafar. Badla, as the title suggests, is a revenge drama but with many layers. Besides one memorable sequence towards the beginning in front of the Taj Mahal a recurring cultural and sociological symbol in the film when they share cold chai, there is little to suggest any serious bonding between Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan Next comes in another folk inspired track “Do dhaari talwaar” with vocals by Shahid Mallya and Shweta Pandit.
Kesari follows the battle that 21 braveheart Sikh soldiers valiantly fought and helped thwart the attempt of the Bata It’s a love song but not very mushy. An album full of chartbusters – ‘The Shaukeens’: Debutant director Ali Abbas Zafar knows the subtexts in his script well enough to conceal the rather glaring discrepancies in the storytelling.

Friday, August 12, All that glitters is not gold! Friday, March 08, Badla Review: What it misses out on is that element of unpredictability during the time of a santw that Band Baaja Baarat and Tanu Weds Manu managed to capture probably because the couple at the helm was supported by any number of splendid supporting stars.
That I fell in love with my Bhabhi? The song called “Dhunki” is a rock infested composition with an Indian touch.
